The Cross: Embracing Righteousness Amidst Suffering

His Cross, My Sin.

My Cross, His Righteousness!

My Death- His Life!

It is hard to give up the ghost, the spirit of righteousness in me. Be it my own or even His in me!

Yet these are the exchanges foundational to His kingdoms revelation in or about us.

This life, any life in this world-this broken, fallen, dysfunctional world leads to one place: Death!

Death of all the natural goodness, beauty, and glories of this natural world eventually comes. Those the wages of Adam’s sin, our sin our personal sin. Our rebellious rejection of the way to true health and functional life leads one place. It is also a rejection the eternal life, provided to us at the initiation of life here on earth. The redemption, the solution, the hope and power the alternative is found at the cross of Christ!

Time was part of the juices in that forbidden fruit. The fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam ingested the knowledge of time, loss, degradation’s, erosion-Entropy. And so humanity lives now in them.

Christ (Yeshua) took upon himself, took for himself, accepted himself the price of Adam’s choices. The punishment for all our unrighteous deeds and inclinations, He accepted the consequences of these at His cross. He was righteous, sinless, whole, and perfect when He did so.

We who live now in him. We who have met him at his cross. We who have seen his empty tomb and accept it as our own we; live in and through His Righteousness. We live by his life. While yet in this world of hurt, suffering due to the wages of sin = death, we now yet LIVE!

We are able to be all that we where made to be. We are free from all obstacles that hinder us. We are free to be what we hope to become.

And what can we expect? His glory? Perhaps… In His Spirit and presence we can know and live HIS life. But far too often HIS life leads to our own cross!. The place of the world’s judgments, society’s criticisms, the crowd throws rocks and stones.

Stephen knew this truth. It set him free to forgive those as they cast their stones at him.

Can we?

Can you?

Can I embrace the righteousness of Christ within me? Even when it lives in me to cause the broken, fallen sinful world to throw stones at me?

Can I take his righteousness to my cross as he took my sin to his? Can I die there? Will His life then live and grow in others? Can others see true examples of His life? We have no greater example of the love, the being of God; than in Christ on his cross. Our Cross.

He died there that we have our life in him; His life in us. We live his life before man kind as we have our being in him. We are able to be what we hope to become in and through Him

So Be it Amen

Foot Note: This post was the culmination of a 3 year private war. It addressed unrighteousness about me. It was written at the conclusion of that war. I made it through the challenges, others have yet to follow…It was edited and finalized after the 12 day war of Israel and Iran. The realizations of the lessons of becoming vs being the last additions. 6.28.2025
