Today I had a divine appointment with Laura in the hot tub of the Airport Club. Life can be hard, but it is also very, very good.
Laura is a fully realized native American woman. She has had 6-9 out-of-body experiences, similar to those of Saint Paul and other biblical figures who have gone into the heavenly realms. A fantastic conversation and great encouragement regarding the depth of knowledge the native peoples possess about our Creator’s ways. And the common ground that mature believers who understand the deeper spiritual realities of our existence can have with other spiritually minded people.
I suggested to this mighty woman of our Creator God-YeHoVaH that my wife Katheryn and I are used of Yahh as bridge builders between:
1. Believers in Jesus- of most common religious traditions
2. Messianic Jews (who acknowledge Jesus as Messiah)
3. Jewish People
4. Other Spiritual people who actually know our mutual creator, but do not share our specific spiritual tradition or paths.
I suggested this post would be a hoped-for bridge between those believers in God who are suspect or judgmental of the Tribes or other non-traditional paths they consider “Pagan” or “lost”. These are those who tend to judge non-traditional paths as somehow foreign or adverse to Godliness or “Traditional Righteousness” that can be defined by the prominent religious traditions.
This was a profoundly deep and instructive conversation. As I shared with Laura I have had three to four divine appointments with Native Americans that where instructive and substantial. I also enjoyed the book “Black Elk Speaks” and wrote a poem about its value and meaning to me. It is here.
I share this with Laura’s permission, suggesting that my intent in this post is to commend Laura for her approach and the depth of her spiritual understanding as a representative of Native American Tribes.
And to suggest others lay down that judgment and simply sit in the firelight and listen carefully and speak truthfully.
We looked together, seeing what was real, understanding the darkened dream of it is here. We blessed and prayed for one another, trusting that this bridge will be solid and enduring for more than just the two of us. So be it,
Amen…
