The curse of sickness and death was sown into the fabric of the creation, of the earth. This happened when Adam chose disobedience. He chose to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. This rebellion caused these curses and they have governed within the creation; the earth.
Adam, the first son of God and administrator of His creation, chose badly.
Then comes Yeshua (Jesus), the second Adam. He chose well. He chose obedience unto death, even the death of the cross. At that death, He took upon himself all the curses of Adam and his subsequent generations. Because:
“Cursed is anyone hung upon a tree” (Deuteronomy 21;23)
He was flawless and perfectly obedient. Breaking the curses he was rewarded with resurrection! Those that accept his crucifixion and death as their own receive his reward. They exchange their curse for his reward. This reward is life, health, truth and grace. It is given eternally. We can choose to send to His cross all the curses of the first Adam. All the ramifications of his sin can be attached there.
Because:
“Every decree written against us has been taken out of the way
having been nailed to the cross.” (Colossians 2:14)
Wow, now that’s a great exchange. Make it wont you?
