I was asleep;

I awoke.

In my waking I realized,

His person was in my person,

I awoke and realized the Messiah and I are one.

 

I was asleep and awoke with his person in my person,

And I realized it is true, we are one, we are.

He is that he is, and I am his and he is in me.

We are one by his faith and his prayer:

 

“Father make them one even as you and I are one.”

 

And it is so by his faith and prayer;

We are one by his word.

 

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father but by me.”

 

We are one, one with the Father, one with the Son,

One with life because He prayed:

 

“Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”

And it is so by his prayers.

 

Arise, he says; arise and shine! 

Arise and shine and behold His glory!

And it is so, by His faith and his word.

I was asleep and now I am awake.
